Daniel Krantman is a Philadelphia-based documentary, narrative fiction, and dance filmmaker. In these disciplines, he explores political corruption and injustice, grief and love, spirituality, and the ways that individual narratives fall short of describing a shared reality. As a director of photography and a specialist in camera and G&E departments, he delivers sharp images with expressive lighting.

He has worked on over a dozen feature films and a multitude of shorts. His work has received awards and has been shown at venues such as The Philadelphia Film Society, The Icebox Project Space, Filmapalooza, Sideworld Video, and The Green Room. He is currently creating an episodic documentary, entitled “Nobody Knows What It Means,” about political violence and mythology.
